WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

You will receive the address when you book; however, we are located two miles east of Windsor.

ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED?

Yes, Dogs and small animals are allowed. But dogs must be leashed at all times if outside and you must pick up after them.

WHERE DO I PARK?

I included a MAP HERE to help.

IS THERE A PUBLIC RESTROOM?

No, there are no public restrooms on site, please plan accordingly.

CAN I STOP BY JUST TO LOOK OR TAKE A COUPLE PROMO PHOTOS?

No, unfortunately with the booking site, even if I block off 10 minutes, it will block off the hour. And with other bookings, and this being our home, I like to keep the traffic at a minimum.

CAN I BOOK LESS THAN AN HOUR?

All bookings are only by the hour.

CAN I CANCEL?

No, no refunds will be given as all sales are final. Should you need to reschedule your appointment, please ensure to contact us at least 24 HOURS prior to your appointment time. This policy applies regardless of the reason for rescheduling, including weather-related concerns. The same conditions apply to sunflower bookings.

CAN I STAY PAST MY TIME?

Please promptly stick to your scheduled time slots to ensure a seamless experience for all. If you require additional time, please refer to the booking link to extend your reservation to the next hour. You can also reach out to me and I can invoice you if the time is available. Kindly remember that many time slots are tightly scheduled back-to-back, so punctuality is greatly appreciated.

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS WITH THE ANIMALS ON SITE?

With the new barn feature, you can take photos with the farm animals peeking their heads out the windows. If the weather is bad or any problem arises, the windows may be closed. The side with the windows is included in the Greenhouse booking only, the sunflowers will not include this to ensure people are not in the way of those who booked the greenhouse. However, if they are out in their runs or in the pasture, please feel free to say hi or take photos. Absolutely no going inside the fence.

I BOOKED A TIME SLOT, BUT ITS GOING TO GET DARK BEFORE IT ENDS. CAN I COME SOONER?

When I set up the booking site, I try my hardest to get as close to sunset as possible, but not all dates will be perfect. So just double check sunset time before booking!

IS BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED?

Only if it is super mild/tastefully done. My family lives here. And come sunflower season, there are always families here doing photos as well.

GREENHOUSE

HOW IS THE LIGHTING?

It depends on the look you are going for! The light is beautiful coming in all day, but being all windows, I tell people to plan as if you were outside. The back windows of the greenhouse are west, so you will get that sunset light in the evening. Bright, direct sun during the day can be shadowy with the rafters, but there are pockets of shade and the curtains help diffuse some of the light in the back of the greenhouse.

HOW ARE THE TEMPERATURES?

This varies so much day to day! In the summer, temps can get hot! But you can open all windows, so the temperature is similar to outdoors. In the winter, I have space heaters. If it is cloudy and cold, the temp is about 5-15 degrees warmer than outside. If it’s sunny and cold, the greenhouse can get warm! (ie. 30 degrees with the sun, 80+ degrees in the greenhouse)

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS OUTSIDE OF THE GREENHOUSE?

Yes! Directly south of the greenhouse is the clothesline, barn and wildflower patch in the summer. These are included in the booking. When the sunflowers are in season, this will be a separate booking than the greenhouse since there will be other appointments. Again, here is a MAP to help!

I SAW CERTAIN DECOR FROM ANOTHER SEASON THAT I WOULD LIKE IN THE GREENHOUSE, CAN YOU PUT THAT OUT FOR ME?

I like to switch things from season to season, and I put the all the past stuff in storage. So I will not be getting certain items out if asked for, but they will likely make a come back in the future!

WHAT IF SOMETHING GETS BROKEN?

I get it, I know things happen. Especially with kiddos! But if this happens, please just let me know. We will come to a solution. If something large, like a window, you will be responsible for the cost it will take to fix it.

SUNFLOWERS

WHEN ARE THEY OPEN FOR BOOKING?

I open up the booking site once I get an idea of how they are growing. I always aim for the first half of July. The actual dates open, when the flowers are ready, will be around beginning-mid August to the beginning of September. Some years I’ve been able to open a little earlier or extend dates a little longer.

WHAT IF WEATHER/BUGS/ETC TAKE THE FLOWER CROP OUT?

I have this everywhere I can, but if something happens to the flowers, there will be no refunds. This is the chance you are taking by booking in advance. Obviously, we will do all we can to keep the flowers happy and thriving but some things are out of our control!

WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE IS PHOTOGRAPHING IN THE FLOWERS WHILE I AM THERE?

If this happens, either they are going past their time or trespassing (has happened more than it should) Please, just get a hold of me and let me know asap!
